| 8/25/2011 | MRC’s school, now known as Transitions Learning Center, received a grant award from the Dollar General Literacy Grant Program. This program provides funding to schools, public libraries, and nonprofit organizations to help students who are below grade level or experiencing difficulty reading.
These funds will be used to purchase much needed textbooks and educational software for our youth patients.

| 9/19/2011 | MRC has an Alumni Association of past MRC graduates and family members to give their opinions, ideas and suggestions on MRC events and other programs. Meetings are held monthly at Republic Coffee.

| 11/29/2011 | Despite the weather predictions of rain, over 300 gathered at the Overton Park Pavilion on Saturday, November 26th to run, walk or cheer at our annual 5K event. The weather cooperated and everyone enjoyed coffee, donuts and our jovial emcee, Joe Birch, as he announced the winners.
